Division Chief and an adjunct professor at the
Marine Science Department of the University of Southern Mississippi. He has
been charge for the engineering design, development, procurement, testing,
metadata management, and maintenance of measurement systems required to fulfill
CO-OPS’ mission for all CO-OPS’ major nationwide observing systems, which
include 210+ stations of National Water Level Observation Network (NWLON), a
network of 20+ Physical Oceanographic Real-Time Systems (PORTS®) in major U.S.
harbors, the National Current Observation Program consisting of current surveys
in near shore and coastal areas, and all other short-term and long-term ocean
observing systems. He has authored more
than 70 technical and scientific papers and numerous technical reports and
abstracts. Dr. Teng holds a U.S. Patent on “System for monitoring,
determining, and reporting directional spectra of ocean surface waves in near
real-time from a moored buoy”. He is the
president-elect of the COAA. |
