He has been charge for the engineering design, development, procurement, testing, metadata management, and maintenance of measurement systems required to fulfill CO-OPS’ mission for all CO-OPS’ major nationwide observing systems, which include 210+ stations of National Water Level Observation Network (NWLON), a network of 20+ Physical Oceanographic Real-Time Systems (PORTS®) in major U.S. harbors, the National Current Observation Program consisting of current surveys in near shore and coastal areas, and all other short-term and long-term ocean observing systems. He has authored more than 70 technical and scientific papers and numerous technical reports and abstracts. Dr. Teng holds a U.S. Patent on “System for monitoring, determining, and reporting directional spectra of ocean surface waves in near real-time from a moored buoy”. He is the president-elect of the COAA. |
