The first COAA
scientific workshop of Year 2002 has been scheduled on
March 23 (Saturday), from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the 2nd
Floor
Auditorium (Room #2400), Computer and Space Sciences Building
(C&SS),
Department of Meteorology, University of Maryland, College
Park (UMCP).
Eight speakers from government agencies and universities have
agreed to
present their recent research in oceanic, atmospheric and
earth
sciences. Please mark your
calendar and come to participate in it.
The
Workshop Agenda and Abstracts of Papers are attached per
your
information in a separated file. The C&SS is located at the
Stadium
Drive (in front of the ICA Practice Foot Fields). For detailed

Before scientific
presentations from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., COAA will
prepare a complimentary
breakfast with Chinese dim sum, coffee, tea and
soft drink to serve you .
After the workshop, a luncheon will be
held
at the Seven Seas Chinese Restaurant, College Park. The location,
address, and direction to
the restaurant, the menu (Sorry! in Chinese)
and the cost of each person
are attached in a separated file.
To
reserve your seat on the luncheon, please send an e-mail to me,
the COAA
Secretary or COAA Program Co-Directors, Long Chiu and William
Tseng and
indicate Yes and numbers of seats (if more than 1) on the e-mail
Subject
by MARCH 21. For example,
if your e-mail Subject to us is only a Yes,
meaning you will participate
for one person in the luncheon, if your
Subject is a Yes and 2, meaning 2
persons will join the lunch and so
on.
